Italy: Deprived of Mass, Christians unite in non-stop online Rosary prayer

"Corona (anti) virus" is an online rosary relay that has just been created in Italy. It has been created as a response to the recent closing of churches in the country in an attempt to slow down the proliferation of the COVID-19 virus that is currently shaking many parts of the world.
The rule is simple: the website gives the name, city, and declares a half-hour “prayer duty” in a specially prepared schedule. In this way, an uninterrupted relay prayer of the Rosary spread over the whole country.
“We thought about strengthening our Church community and our country [Italy] with a prayer that continues without interruption day and night. We believe it can stop the spread of coronavirus, and also get a lot more for everlasting life,” writes the anonymous creator of the “Corona (anti) virus” initiative, which is gaining popularity among an increasing number of believers.
Internet users pray for everyone who has been affected in any way by the coronavirus epidemic or its effects and related changes in their daily functioning. You can join the initiative via the website: www.recode.digital/corona-anti-virus. The counter there shows how many prayers have already been said. On Monday March 9, 2020 there were already 6,000 prayers that have been recited.
