Vandals destroyed a historic figure of Christ in Texas
As reported by the parish of Saint Patrick in El Paso, unknown perpetrators destroyed a historical figure of Christ located behind the main altar.
“It was a beautiful representation of Christ; the Son of God had exceptionally wide open arms on it, and His heart burned with love for us. I often drew inspiration from this figure in preparation for Holy Mass,” said Bishop of El Paso, Mark Seitz.
The Bishop called the faithful to pray for the salvation of the vandal’s soul. Unfortunately, the destroyed statue cannot be restored.
This is another attack on the temple in El Paso recently. On the 13th of May 2019, an attempt was made to set fire to the temple.
