Joe Biden opposed to “LGBT-free zones” in Poland which don’t exist

Joe Biden criticised the so-called "LGBT-free zones" in a recent tweet. The US Democratic candidate for President was referring to Poland which has been targeted by liberal and left-wing politicians in the last months over the alleged existence of such places in its territory.

“Let me be clear: LGBTQ+ rights are human rights — and “LGBT-free zones” have no place in the European Union or anywhere in the world,” Biden wrote on Twitter.

The reality is that there are no such zones in Poland. The fake news about their alleged existence has gone viral among others because of the recent criticism from the President of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen.

The truth is that mayors of several Polish town signed a document called the “family card”. The aim of the document is to emphasise the importance of the traditional family in the community. Signatories of this charter are opposed to the proliferation of LGBT ideology among children in schools.

Contrary to the often-repeated lies of far-left organisations, the document doesn’t promote the discrimination of people identifying as LGBT in any way.

“The assertion in Vice President Joe Biden’s tweet is based on inaccurate media information, as no “LGBT-free zones” exist in Poland. The Polish Government is committed to the rule of law, equal rights and social inclusion. There is no place for discrimination in our societies,” the embassy of Poland in Washington answered on Twitter.
