Eighteen churches were pelted with eggs in Germany

The Lindenberg police department has successfully resolved a string of vandalism incidents that have unnerved communities in the West Allgäu region for the past few months.

Throughout this period, 18 church doors and façades were targeted with egg peltings, carried out by unidentified individuals. These eggs were often adorned with black paint or marked with red letters and numbers.

In March, a significant development unfolded in the investigation.

A suspect was apprehended by a patrol car in Heimenkirch, near one of the churches recently subjected to an egg-throwing incident, on the night of Sunday, March 3, 2024.
