Pro-Palestine graffiti smeared on an Italian church
Red paint was discovered smeared on the San Benedetto church in Brindisi, affecting both its ancient portal and another entrance.
Additionally, the word “Palestine” was found written on the stairs. The red paint on the doors appeared to resemble streams of blood, possibly intended to draw attention to the situation in Gaza.
However, despite initial speculation, the police have ruled out a political motive for the vandalism.
The damage was first noticed on the morning of March 5 by concerned citizens who promptly informed the authorities.
