Yet another German church targeted by probable arsonists

The destruction of the confessional, a statue of a saint, and a storage room in the Catholic Church of the Holy Cross on February 26 was attributed to a fire.

In Carlsberg, a fire at the Catholic church led to a significant response from the volunteer fire brigade on Monday. The fire, located near the main entrance door, left the confessional in ruins and the church interior covered in soot and water.

Firefighters had to break windows for ventilation due to heavy smoke.

The operation lasted nearly three hours, and the church has since remained closed. |Arson is being investigated as the cause of the fire, which caused damage estimated at 50,000 euros.
