A church was set on fire in Oakland
On 28 March, the church of a small congregation in Waterford, Oakland, was set ablaze. The police are investigating
The building is a total loss, according to Waterford Fire Chief Matt Covey. The fire remains under investigation.
By the time firefighters arrived at the church, a van was fully aflame and fire had eaten into the wooden structure built in 1925. Firefighters very quickly switched to a defensive mode, Covey said.
It’s unclear who owned the van parked next to the church which caught fire and led to the church burning down.
