North Korean Christians sent to exile for possessing a Bible

a group of North Korean Christians was sent to a remote village with hard labour and limited rations for the sole reason of possessing a Bible.

Open Doors UK recently shares the story of Bae, a Christian leader who had her Bible destroyed and forced to live in an exiled place yet refuses to abandon her underground church inside North Korea.

Bae spends her day working in the fields picking crops in the village she’s forced to live in.

By night, she and her housemates cover the windows with blankets, light a small candle, and sit in a tight circle before getting out a book to read.
