The fifty-eight-year-old man is an employee of a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN). His arrest increased the total number of terrorist suspects nabbed in connection with the Makassar church bombing to thirty-three people.

Although the Head of Public Relations at the South Sulawesi Regional Police has not been able to explain the role of the suspect in the suicide bombing at the Makassar Cathedral Church on the 28th of March, the apparatus believes that the BUMN employee has a close connection with the terrorist attack.

On Palm Sunday, two attackers who were newlyweds tried to enter Makassar Cathedral Church but were stopped at the gate.
