Clashes with police took place in Paris’s Republic Square during a demonstration under the slogan “enough of police racism!” Far-left militants attacked officers with stones and bottles as assault troops responded with tear gas and flash grenades.

Some demonstrators shouted “death to white people!” and “dirty Jews” at police officers. 

When asked about the motives for their action, they explained that they were ashamed of being white, because – in their opinion – they had more privileges than their dark-skinned colleagues.

French right-wing activists hung a large banner saying, “We demand justice for victims of racism against white people!”
