A church burned down in Ethiopia

On the 4th of March, an appeal was launched in the mosque of Mehal Amba to destroy the town's church. It did not take long before the church was reduced to ashes and all the fittings destroyed.

In the region of Omoria, the vast majority of citizens are hostile to Christianity. This does not prevent Christians from spreading the Gospel and building new churches. Its this attitude of refusing submission to Islam that stirred up the anger of the local Muslim population.

As a result of the church fire, 40 Christian families have been displaced and many people got injured.
