"We condemn the terrorist attack by the Boko Haram organization, during which hundreds of Nigerian women and girls were abducted, and we express our deep sympathy towards the abductees and their families," said Tristan Azbej, Hungarian State Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

“Based on similar previous incidents, unfortunately, they are in great danger, and their prompt rescue is crucial,” added Tristan Azbej.
He emphasized: The government of Hungary also paid special attention in 2023 to the humanitarian assistance for people living in Nigeria and supporting their stay in the country, as well as supporting those living in the region’s refugee camps.
Within the framework of the Hungary Helps – Hungary is helping program, the Hungarian government supported the food supply for those in need living in refugee camps in the Diocese of Makurdi, the emergency needs of the refugees and the needy in the host community, supported medical missions in the Onitsha region, and aided the population of the Obodoukwu region by drilling wells for drinking water – detailed the State Secretary.
