Islamic terrorists kill 23 in a four day serial attack in Nigeria
23 people were killed, ten injured, five kidnapped and 28 houses were set on fire across several villages in Nigeria between 16th and 19th of February.
Alleged Islamic terrorists raided the Kwassam community in Kauru County of Benue State, burned six people alive, and kidnapped five others, including a well-known banker on the 16th of February 2024. Extremists then killed 11 Christians and set 28 houses on fire in Adama Dutse Village in Kaduna State on the morning of the 18th of February. The villagers were still asleep when the attack occurred. Witnesses said: “The attackers were on many motorcycles, shouting ‘Allah Akbar’”.
According to eyewitness Audu Tanko from Kajuru county: “Police came seven hours after the attack to take photos and ask questions. There is tension now in my village. We are killed because of our faith in Jesus”.
Suspected terrorists then attacked a Christian community in Katsina, the home state of former president Mahamadu Buhari on the 19th of February. Based on reports from Nigerian Police, six people were slain and ten wounded during the attack.
Abubakar Aliyu, the spokesperson for the Nigeria police in Katsina State, released a press statement, confirming that the terrorists launched an attack in the the village of Nasarawa in the Faskari county of Katsina State late Monday with heavy weapons, including AK-47 rifles: “In total, six people were shot dead and about ten injured. The gunmen also set ablaze three houses and about ten vehicles.”
