Three hundred schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria
At least three hundred students of the GGSS Jangebee Secondary School in the State of Zamfara, in the north-west of Nigeria, were kidnapped by gunmen on the night of the 25th of February.
According to the children’s teachers and the parents, about one hundred armed men came with vehicles and entered the school around midnight. Zamfara state authorities say they do not yet know the exact number of people abducted.
This is the second kidnapping in a little more than a week in Nigeria’s north, where armed men kidnapped at least 27 students, a teacher, and six family members.
