Irish bishop banned from Twitter for criticising euthanasia

On the 19th of February, Twitter banned an Irish bishop after he criticised the government’s plans to legalise euthanasia. The tweet that they banned had the term "assisted suicide" in it.

 

According to David Quinn, Fr Kevin Doran has been refused an appeal. This move comes suspiciously at the same time that the Irish establishment was losing the public debate over Gino Kenny’s Dying With Dignity Bill.

Tech giants interfered in Ireland’s 2018 referendum to remove the rights of unborn babies to life, banning ads from pro life groups on the run up to the referendum.

This is the second time that they have censored a senior cleric recently. A few months ago, Catholic Arena discovered that Cardinal Duka of the Czech Republic had been banned as well.
