“The most recent terror attacks in Europe provided an example of what Christians in the Middle East have to endure on a daily basis. 
The Hungarian Government perceives migration as an issue of the utmost importance, including security and pandemic matters, as well as helping the persecuted Christians. That is why the Hungary Helps Program is aiding the Armenian Apostolic Church to rebuild the Temple of Zakho in the Iraqi Archdiocese, the Saint Mesrop Temple in Homs in the Syrian Archdiocese, the Armenian Elementary School in Sahagian and the Armenian Cultural Centre in Damascus. The agency is also aiding the Church’ humanitarian project with one million dollars. The basic principle of the Hungary Helps Program is to bring help to where the problem is rather then importing the problem. In the last four years, about 100.000 people have been helped in the conflict zones to stay in their homeland or provided with the possibility to return there.”
