Statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus stolen in Belgium
Last Friday, the statue of the Sacred Heart of Saint-Jean-Sart in the town of Aubel disappeared. The statue of Christ did not vanish on its own; someone removed it.
When a statue of Christ goes missing, there are only two possibilities: either it was a miracle or a heinous theft. Like the Messiah after his death, the work of art could have come to the fore again after three days of mourning.
It seems that this is not the case. The statue of the Sacred Heart of Saint-Jean-Sart disappeared between Thursday and Friday last and has still not resurfaced.
