Teenagers smoke cigarettes and urinate in a church in Poland

Polish police arrested two teenagers who smoked cigarettes in one of the churches in Wieluń (Western Poland), poured alcohol into the holy water font, and urinated on the floor.

The detained men were charged with desecrating a religious object and defiling a place intended for the public performance of religious rites.

“The men also profaned the missionary cross in front of the church, which they used for their physiological need,” says Karolina Górzna-Kustra from the police in Czarnków.

Police detained the two young men for several hours. During the interrogation, both confessed to committing the alleged crime. They attributed their behaviour to the effects of having consumed too much alcohol.
