French journalist faces harassment for criticising Islam

After a reported case of harassment, a video appeared on the Internet showing a Muslim woman provoking a well-known right-wing journalist Eric Zemmour. The journalist is known for pointing out the numerous problems related to the Muslim minority living in France.
In a video published on the internet last Saturday, several people can be seen waiting in front of a store. Suddenly a person approaches: it is Eric Zemmour, a journalist. When the individual gets close to the camera, a woman with a turban on her head recognises him and with a thumbs up exclaims: “Long live Islam! Long live Allah! Long live Muhammad! “
The woman waited for Zemmour’s reaction, but he remained calm and continued his walk without a word, much to the surprise of the gathered passers-by.
This event provoked a lot of reactions on social media. Although it was not about insults or threats this time, the tone of this woman’s voice suggested evident hostility to Eric Zemmour and his views.
It is not the first time that Zemmour has been targeted physically. A few weeks ago, a young Muslim filmed himself spitting on him and telling him “to go f… his mother.”
“Soon, you will need to have a proof of good intentions towards Islam in order to walk quietly down the street,” National Union MP Gilbert Collard wrote on Twitter.
TV journalist and animator Eric Naulleau condemned “Muslim hysteria”. “This woman thinks that with her gesture, she will weaken the strength of Eric Zemmour’s message… But she shows the face of violence and hatred that has engulfed our country,” he added.
