Another church vandalised in France

Last Friday morning, the mayor of the French town of Marly-Gomont posted a message on his Facebook page to express his anger after he discovered the local church vandalised.

He said that “the door has been broken, several candles destroyed, the microphone torn down and a fire extinguisher struck and emptied within the building”.

The police started an investigation. The church will remain closed until further notice.

The robbery and vandalism of churches  is particularly high in France and is not decreasing, despite the current COVID-19 pandemic and the numerous restrictions related to it.
