Pope Francis asks for prayers for men, women and children displaced by war

The Pope asked the people to pray for those who are forced to leave their place of living and are in danger because of armed conflicts in their home country.
Pope Francis on Sunday expressed his sorrow for the plight of refugees and migrants fleeing war and asked the faithful to pray for them, Vatican News reports.
“I am saddened by the news of so many displaced people, so many men, women and children who are discarded by war,” he said during the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square.
He also said that he is with those people seeking refuge and peace throughout the world and asked the believers’ community to pray for them.
His appeal comes after the Turkish government is using the current situation on its border with Greece where thousands of migrants are gathering to cross and continue their way to Europe.
