Fulani Islamists killed three Christians

A group of armed men, identified as Fulani militias has carried out an attack against the Dudun community. In the attack three Christians lost their lives.
Three Christians lost their lives in an attack in the Dudun community, Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, Nigeria. Joseph Chudu Yonkpa, National Publicity Secretary of the Irigwe Youth Movement, identified the victims as well as the killers. He says that Fulani Islamist militias carried out the attack against the community.
“In addition to the numerous ambushes of our people in the last fortnight and the massive destruction of dry-season farm crops, yesterday, Fulani militias ambushed our people at Dundu village, killing three.”
Mr. Yonkpa also condemned the incident, saying that this attack was the latest of a series of atrocities carried out against the Christian majority Irigwe people. These attacks in the past years resulted in numerous deaths and major destruction of crops.
One of the largest attacks, targeting the Irigwe, was carried out by suspected Fulani herdsmen in 2022. That time the perpetrators attacked a cultural festival, killing twelve members of the community.
