A Marian statue was decapitated and replaced with Nazi symbols in Poland

On September 27, in Witaszyce (Poland), an unknown individual decapitated the statue of Mary at a forest shrine.
Then, on October 12, five photos of Nazi soldiers were discovered inside the shrine. “What must have gone wrong in someone’s mind to do something like this?” expressed a visibly shaken resident of Witaszyce.
This isn’t the first time such incidents have occurred in the Jarocin district.
A decade ago, the Sacred Heart of Jesus chapel in Łobza was also vandalized—decorations were destroyed, vases smashed, and ribbons torn. However, no official report was filed with the police at that time.
