A Coptic Orthodox church was set on fire in England

A man has been arrested in relation to a fire that occurred in the courtyard of St Marina Coptic Orthodox Church in Bristol.

 

The blaze broke out in the early hours of the 20th of September and although it was swiftly put out, it caused damage to a section of the church building.

According to police, only the exterior of the church was affected and no one was injured.

The man in his forties has been arrested on suspicion of arson, burglary, and criminal damage in connection with the incident.
