A cemetery has been vandalised in Belgium

The authorities of the Belgian town of Ath have been contacted on the 1st of March following acts of vandalism perpetrated in the cemetery of the nearby village of Maffle.
The doors of the two old mortuaries in this cemetery were broken down, headstones in the veterans’ squares were knocked down, memorial plaques were broken, and numerous wreaths and wreaths were scattered in the aisles.
This Wednesday morning, the police descended on the spot so that a report is drawn up and a complaint filed.
In this press release, the city reports “do everything possible to identify the families concerned in order to notify them personally.”
