British parliament rejects abortion on demand

Far-left circles tried to introduce a new law allowing on the one hand women to perform abortions on request until the end of pregnancy, and, on the other hand, introducing imprisonment for people offering help to women near abortion centers. The main author of the amendment was Diana Johnson, from the Labor party.

The shocking proposals provoked resistance even among parliamentarians who are associated with the left side of the British political scene. Some of them were to receive more e-mails from the affected voters than ever before. Moreover, more than 800 doctors signed an open letter addressed to Diana Johnson urging her to abandon this project of law.

Pro-life organisations rejoice about a “great victory for unborn children” after British MPs rejected the amendment proposal on the 5th July.
