Mozambique authorities confirmed that Islamic militias killed dozens of people, and hundreds of people were evacuated by the military. Witnesses to the fighting are alarming that the military did not resist the terrorists and did not sufficiently defend the population.

On the occasion of this attack, it was recalled that the authorities’ passivity led to a significant strengthening of jihadists in the Cabo Delgado province. It was also indicated that another attack took place after the French company announced the resumption of natural gas production in this area.

This shows that the fight is about the enormous wealth of this region, which can provide money for weapons to jihadists, and not only in Mozambique.
