Genoa, nun stabbed in church during mass: defended the priest.
The attacker arrested, first shouted: “I’m the devil” and tried to attack the priest while he was celebrating the mass with a weapon of about 40 centimeters. The woman was fortunately rescued by the staff.
A nun 30 year old of Indian origin, she tried to defend the religious and was stabbed. It happened in a late afternoon in one church to Genoa, in the Sestri Ponente delegation.
The woman was rescued by the staff of 118 and hospitalized in red code at the S. Martino Hospital, where it was subjected to the first investigations to verify the extent of the injuries. The police cars and the mobile team intervened on the spot. The attacker was arrested.
The attack was attended by some elderly who were following the afternoon mass and who heard the man shout as he walked armed towards the priest. One of them reported to the rescuers that she had seen the nun to intervene while the man approached the altar.
