The group of around thirty students attacked the school, beating up its two security guards, looting, and vandalizing school property. Because of the violence, the school had to suspend classes indefinitely for the safety of students and staff.
In a statement released on the next day of the attack, authorities said the mob violence lasted for hours and caused an estimated US$100,000 of damage. The mob used crude bombs and initiated chaos. A press statement indicated that the violent group:
“vandalized our school premises, office rooms, beat up two of our security guards and looted goods.”
