KDNP co-leader: Anti-church support system introduced in the XII district of Budapest

Less than a month has passed and the extremist liberal-led "Hegyvidék" (XII. district) Municipal Government has already launched an attack against the district's Christian communities - announced Tristan Azbej, Vice President of KDNP.

“I regret to say that we were right again,” stated Tristan Azbej, the leader of the Christian Democrats in “Hegyvidék” (XII. district) , he had already drawn attention during the campaign to the fact that one of the first actions of the IX district government supported by the íextremist leftish-liberal Dog Party” was to withdraw support from Christian communities.

“I feared that similar measures would be taken in the XII district, so at the beginning of October I addressed a question to the mayor, but received no response, only empty sarcasm,” wrote the Secretary of State.

Tristan Azbej shared on his social media a video message from Brigitta Pulay, the “Hegyvidék” KDNP municipal delegate, in which she said that what they feared had happened: Gergely Kovács, with one of his first actions, withdrew the funds that served to support local scout communities and church organizations.

“While the mayor promised to manage the district democratically, without corruption, and involving a broad spectrum of society, he did not hesitate when it came to oppressing one of the biggest communities,” emphasized Brigitta Pulay.

She explained that at Monday’s session, the district’s legal and procedural committee, with its left-wing majority, adopted an amendment according to which the district’s churches, church organizations, and scout troops will no longer receive a separate call for proposals for supporting their activities, effectively stripping them of resources. She added that in the future, these funds will be given to civil organizations “more to the liking of Gergely Kovács.
