Christians in Scotland are under pressure, says a recent survey

An opinion poll conducted by the think tank "Logos" and published in The Herald on July 23 revealed that Christians in Scotland feel "excluded." The survey showed that over 70% of Christians believe the Scottish Government does not support them, and 75% expressed concern about abuse against Christian politicians.
Among the 1,000 Scottish voters surveyed, 70% of Christians reported experiencing prejudice due to their faith. In contrast, the majority of non-Christian respondents reported no discrimination. Additionally, less than 10% of all respondents (both Christian and non-Christian) believed that Scottish ministers were supportive of Christians.
Lord Jim Wallace, leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, described these figures as “disturbing,” stating that it should concern all politicians if such a significant portion of Scotland’s Christian community feels excluded and ignored.
Shona Haslam, CEO of Logos, remarked that the findings highlight a “feeling of exclusion” among Scottish Christians and expressed hope that the data would raise awareness of Christian perspectives among political leaders.
