Richard Malinga, a pastor in Pallisa District, Uganda, was beaten and murdered by unknown assailants. Pastor Malinga held a prayer session for his congregation at his church and then headed home on his motorbike. It was then that the attackers ambushed him.

He suffered several head injuries, and his motorbike was stolen. He did not survive the attack and succumbed to his injuries. His body was found on the side of the road where he was attacked. This attack against the pastor was not a unique one. A teacher was ambushed in a similar matter some months ago. The police are still investigating the case.
