A terrorist attack reported in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris

An individual of Egyptian nationality, affiliated with ISIS, has been apprehended in connection with a suspected terrorist plot targeting the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, according to media reports on March 30.
The arrest took place on March 5 by members of the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI). Through the efforts of domestic intelligence agencies, the suspect was identified, detained on charges of “criminal terrorist association,” and placed in pre-trial detention.
French Minister of Interior Affairs, Gérald Darmanin, affirmed the arrest during a speech on April 1, revealing that a total of five individuals, all with ties to ISIS, have been apprehended in recent weeks for terrorism-related offenses.
Minister Darmanin also disclosed that the suspect in the Notre Dame Cathedral incident intended to target a religious edifice or its vicinity, potentially endangering Christians.
