Swastikas tagged on an Anglican church in England
On the night of January 25-26, St Mary's Anglican Church in Melton Mowbray, a town of 25,000 in the northeast of Leicester County, was spray-painted with swastikas and Stars of David.
The Anglican Diocese of Leicester strongly condemned the act of vandalism:
“The Church of England opposes all forms of anti-Semitism. On this week of Holocaust Memorial Day, we recognize the suffering of the Jewish people and wish to reiterate our support for Jewish friends and colleagues. We condemn this act of vandalism and will cooperate with the authorities .”
