Arrest of alleged defiler of Colorado church

On the 31st of August, the Saint Curé d'Ars Church in Denver, Colorado, whose parishioners are predominantly African-American, was vandalised and desecrated.

The thief or thieves forced the wooden door of the sacristy, stolen chalices, ciboriums, but also the cameras, the mixer, the sound system, the PC and about twenty hosts in the tabernacle which had been forced.

In addition, the vandals had also cut and stolen the copper pipes of the boiler, causing the flooding of the basement.

However, on the 30th of September, the police arrested one of the suspected thieves , in whom part of the booty, including the sacred vessels, was found. These were returned to the parish, which hopes that the consecrated hosts have been abandoned by the thief.
