Statue of the Virgin Mary toppled in Warsaw

Unknown perpetrators have toppled a statue of the Virgin Mary, which was placed in the garden of the Franciscan Sisters of the Family of Mary convent in Anin, Warsaw.

According to Father Marek Doszko, pastor of the parish of Our Lady Queen of Poland, where the house is located, the statue fell on soft ground and leaves, so no extensive damage was caused.

The profanation took place on the day of the commemoration of the founder of the congregation, St. Zygmunt Szczęsny-Feliński.
