Afghani refugees attacked a church in Pakistan
A Church in Naseerabad colony, Lahore was attacked by a mob of Afghani Refugee men during a Sunday Worship session on 5th September, 2021.
The attackers came from Khan Colony, located near Naseerabad, where many Afghanistani refugees live. Local people refer to Khan Colony also as Taliban Colony. The attackers had firecrackers in their hands and they started throwing them inside the Church when Christians were worshipping.
When the Church guards tried to stop them, they became angry, entered the Church and started attacking the faithful. They severely injured many Church members including women and children. They had machetes and Taliban flags in their hands. They also tried to kidnap some women but did not succeed.
