The victim, Suzana, studies at the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust. She was attacked and raped by one of her teachers, Muhammad Waseem, at the school. After her parents found out what had happened to their daughter, they went to the school to talk to the assailant.

However, when they arrived, they were locked into a room and were tortured by a guard and other teachers. Two of the teachers state that her teacher did not rape the girl, and the other teachers and the police put pressure on her to say that a Christian schoolmate raped her.

Finally, a report was filed on the 2nd of July, but the police insisted on recording the incident as one instigated by an unknown perpetrator.
