Another statue of St John Paul II vandalised in Poland

A monument of St Pope John Paul II was defaced in the town of Oborniki in Western Poland. Unknown perpetrators smeared the figure with red paint, in particular, painting the saint's face and hands.

The police headquarters press officer announced that the event’s video footage had already been secured for appropriate analysis. Perhaps this will help the officers find the perpetrator of this shameful act.

Let us remind you that this is not the first time that the attackers destroy the statue of St John Paul II. Last August, in Gdańsk, the statue of the Pope and US President Ronald Reagan were also painted in red.

The desecration of yet another monument to John Paul II took place in Szczecin’s northern city, where LGBT activists hung their rainbow flags on the monument.
