Man films himself while destroying a statue of Mary
On the 28th of February, a man in his fifties filmed himself while destroying a statue of the Virgin Mary in the commune of Fougeres, in Bretagne, France
In the video, the man pushes the Our Lady of Marais’ statue to the ground in the Saint-Sulpice Church in Fougeres. Meanwhile, the individual makes inconsistent comments about nudity: “No Nudity and No Idol, we are in the church of Jesus Christ here, so this is all a joke, this statue has no place in my church .” In fact, only the breast of this statue of the Virgin is exposed.
The church has been temporarily closed; the parish has also filed a complaint against the perpetrator.
