Christian church set on fire in Sudan
On the 3rd of January, a thirteen-year-old adolescent set fire to the church, in the village of Tamboul, which is about 140 km from the capital of Sudan, Cartum.
The church’s use was shared by the Sudanese Church of Christ and the Sudanese Presbyterian Evangelical Church.
According to local sources, the boy removed the fuel of a motorcycle and poured it on the wall of the church before setting the building on fire. The church was completely burned down; one of the boy’s hands was also seriously burnt.
The police arrested the adolescent, but they still do not have enough proof against him. The local Muslim community denies that they had anything to do with the attack, but according to local Christian church leaders, the boy was pressured by extremists.
