YouTube suspended the conservative LifeSiteNews channel
YouTube suspended the channel of the Catholic conservative LifeSiteNews for one week for "coronavirus" reasons. The portal posted a video in which a doctor was giving a scientific explanation about the famous virus. The censors considered it was a "spreading of false health information."
The video that triggered the channel’s suspension will be available on Rumble, which many US Conservatives use as an alternative to YouTube. LifeSiteNews emphasised the fact that Rumble is “beyond Big Tech’s influence and beyond Google’s de facto monopoly.” The censored video was titled “A Canadian Doctor calls the coronavirus pandemic the greatest fraud ever.”
YouTube had previously removed another video on the LifeSiteNews channel. The footage from the “The Mother Miriam Show” series, devoted to Catholic Christmas traditions, has been censored by censors as sowing “medical disinformation.”
As a result, LifeSiteNews cannot post any new videos to YouTube for one week. If a LifeSiteNews channel is suspended three times within 90 days, YouTube will simply remove it entirely – regardless of its 200,000 subscribers.
