Christians are constantly subjected to various forms of discrimination, including in the workplace, where it is common to use means of pressure to force the adoption of Islam.

Prejudices against Christians are instilled in many Muslim schools and other Islamic educational institutes. An example of this phenomenon is, for example, school textbooks that promote religious hatred towards Christians. Therefore, the condition for improving the situation of Christians in Pakistan requires changes in social attitudes and in government policies.

Countries like Senegal, Lebanon or even Indonesia could be taken as an example in this regard. Despite being predominantly Muslim, these countries somehow manage to have their different religious groups coexist in relative peace.

Another sign of hope can be observed in Kosovo where a mosque has been built right next to a Serbian Orthodox church, underlying the symbolic meaning of the peaceful coexistence between the two religious groups that have clashed for centuries in the Balkans.
