Cathedral of Kolda vandalised in Senegal
Our Lady of Victories Cathedral in Kolda was vandalised and desecrated by a "madman" who was arrested by the police. The attack took place on Saturday the 4th of July.
According to an eyewitness in the newspaper EnQuête, the attacker broke down the large door of the church and then smashed a statue of the Virgin Mary.
Naked, the assailant proceeded to take money from the donation box. Two priests arrived to stop him but no sooner had they confronted him when he stabbed one of them. The wounded priest was transported to hospital.
