A church has been vandalised in northeastern France

This time it the Saint-Joseph Church located in the Diocese of Metz that has been targeted. The acts of vandalism were carried out last week.
Local parishioners discovered shattered glass in a hallway that was caused by the impact of a large one kilogramme stone against a church window. Another projectile produced a crack that spanned the entire length of a windowpane to the front of the entrance to the crypt.
Another window was broken in the sacristy but the damage doesn’t stop there. The large metal entrance gate at the side of the grotto of the Virgin was damaged where two crossbars were twisted and torn off.
The local Mayor has been notified of this act of vandalism, which is in addition to many others already reported. A complaint was made by the municipality to the national police.
