Christians worldwide stepped out of their homes in solidarity with persecuted Christians
For many persecuted Christians, restrictions on religious gatherings aren't just limited to current lockdowns. That's why Release International invited Christians everywhere to a 30-minute Facebook live event, on Sunday the 24th of May. It was called 'All Out For God', Rome Reports writes.
To advertise the event, Andrew Boyd from Release International said:
“Lockdown is a great opportunity to take our identification with the persecuted Church to a whole new level. Release International is calling on all who enjoy freedom of faith to step out of our homes and stand in prayer with the persecuted.”
Paul Robinson, the CEO of Release International said:
“For some Christians around the world, the comfort of a church building is never an option. They might be too expensive, too conspicuous, or burned to the ground because of persecution.”
The event that took place on Sunday the 24th of May included worship, video reports from Release International’s global partners and a brief message of encouragement.
Afterwards, participants were asked to step out of their homes as a visible gesture of solidarity toward Christians who lack the same degree of religious freedom. Prayers and activities related to the event could be shared on social media with the hashtag AllOut4God.
