Ben Affleck talks about his journey with Christianity

Ben Affleck has said the concept of grace and redemption is 'enormously beautiful' and that is what drew him to Christianity. The theme of redemption takes centre stage in Affleck's upcoming movie.

In an interview with Beliefnet promoting his new film, The Way Back, the Hollywood actor said he goes to the same church he used attend with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children.

“I go to the Methodist Church, my kids are baptised and I got introduced to Christianity a little bit later in life,” he said. Affleck, who once battled alcohol addiction, hopes the film will help people overcome deep-rooted issues.

Admitting that he struggles with his “faith” and “belief”, Affleck said what drew him to Christianity is the unconditional love and grace from God.

He told the news site: “I do see there’s something enormously beautiful and elegant about the notion that we are all sinners, and that it’s our job to find our redemption, to find God’s love, to redeem ourselves, to live the best life that we can, to love one another, to not judge one another, and to forgive one another.
