Poland: a pro-life organization ousted from its premise in the center of Warsaw

The Fundation Pro - Right to Life (Pro - Prawo do Życia) was kicked out of its premises rented from the city of Warsaw. The official reason given by local authorities is the alleged "lack of activity in the field of charity, cultural and social activities for the benefit of the residents of the district". Despite this justification, it seems obvious that this decision is purely arbitrary and ideological.

“The authorities of the Warsaw district of Śródmieście do not check to what extent individual non-governmental organizations implement charitable, cultural and social activities for the benefit of the residents of the district. And the alleged lack of such activity was the reason to throw the Pro Foundation – Right to Life from the rented premises”, explained Anna Szczerbata from the Pro Foundation to Polish Christian media.

On January 7, the Pro – Right to Life Foundation received a letter with an order to move immediately from the premises rented from the Real Estate Management Board of the Warsaw Śródmieście District.

In the meantime, several premises are rented by five pro-LGBT and pro-abortion organizations in the Śródmieście district: Association Love Does Not Exclude (114.85 m2), Campaign Against Homophobia (227.6 m2 and 135.95 m2), Polish Society for Anti-Discrimination Law (89.56 m2 ), Trans-Fusion Foundation (56 m2) and the Federation for Women and Family Planning (120.68 m2).

Since 2013, the Pro – Right to Life Foundation has organized over 4,000 pickets, more than 300 exhibitions on the consequences of abortion and collected over 2.3 million signatures under prolife initiatives.
