The young man was beaten by his Muslim employer for he wanted to take a day off and go to church.

The 22-year-old Saleem Masih was brutally beaten and died a few days later because of his injuries.

All three Christians were hospitalized with severe injuries following the attack.

Church calls for urgent measures to protect minorities

The Christian refugee Asia Bibi is now asking for asylum in France.  

In October 2018, the Supreme Court of Pakistan cleared Asia Bibi of blasphemy, for which she was sentenced to death in 2010.

The verdict was reached after settlements were agreed upon with the families of two Muslim men who were killed by the rioters.
