Hindu nationalist calls for violence against Christians

A Hindutva influencer called for Hindu nationalists to commit organized and mass killing against the Christian community. In a video uploaded by him, he is seen giving a speech during an assembly and calling for the mass murder. The video is still available online and has reached more than 30,000 people.
A Hindutva activist and influencer in Chhattisgarh State, India, called for mass violence against the Christian community. He accused the Christians of “brainwashing children” through conversion and called for the raping of women and killing of Christians in Bishrampur, Ganeshpur, and Jhanakpur villages. He gave his speech during an assembly of Hindutva supporters and uploaded a video on his social media channel that gained more than 33,000 views.
He called for the violence to be committed on March 01. He also repeated a hateful phrase used against Christians earlier this year:
“Kill those who kill cows without sparing anyone. Don’t ask for the death penalty for them, but act yourself without waiting for the law.”
Archbishop of Raipur, Msgr. Victor Henry Thakur, told AsiaNews that now, as the speech gained such popularity online, any atrocity against Christians won’t be a coincidence, and the administration allowed it to happen, and the government of Chhattisgarh is responsible. Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) also condemned the hate speech, especially about women and children, and wrote to the chief minister of Chhattisgarh about the incitement.
